The new building district CityLife is one of the largest redevelopment projects in Europe and covers a total area of 366,000 square meters of intervention (255,000 square meters of private area and 111,000 of public area ).

The transformation plan has provided new residences, offices, shopping centers, services and parks. The three towers planned in the project to use as business center (LEED certified) have been designed by top famed architects: Zaha Hadid, Arata Isozaki and Daniel Libeskind. At the base of the towers it spreads a wide commercial area served by the underground station "Tre Torri" of "line lilac" M5. To the south of the Business centers arise instead the residences designed by Zaha Hadid and Daniel Libeskind. The Zaha Hadid Tower as well as being the highest building (175 meters), is particularly complex because it is tilted and rotates on itself, thus requiring multidimensional processes more complex than usually required.
To realize the foundations of the tower (56.6 m x 54.1 m x 2.5 m) were pumped in only 34 hours - without interruption - 7,840 m³ of concrete low heat of hydration in C 32/40 with a slump similar to that SCC. This product was specifically designed to counter the risk of cracking that features towering jets of very thick foundation slabs.
With an average speed of concrete output of 220 m3/h the foundation of the tower, which began on 5 December (h 08.00 p.m.) was terminated on 7 December (h 06.00 a.m.), well in advance of the 48 hours provided. In just 34 hours, in spite of the 48 planned, it was completed the massive concrete output of 7,480 m³ of concrete for the foundation of the Tower Hadid. This operation observed as "unbelievable and remarkable to be carried out is the use of means, people, resources to achieve the feat in less than a weekend", it had involved:

• Nr. 100 workers
• Nr. 1 cement plant (Merone)
• Nr. 4 concrete plants
• Nr. 4 aggregates quarries
• Nr. 5 concrete pumps
• Nr. 46 truck mixers
• Nr. 22 trucks to transport aggregates
• Nr. 10 cement silo

It is calculated in terms of total tour around: 750 for concrete mixers, 79 for concrete pumps and 250 for the trucks of aggregates. SERMAC concrete pumps always present in jobsite and great protagonist in the works - among others - with the new pump concrete 6RZ56.
